Tabulae; A disclosure and referral agency for professional interpreters, performers and demonstrators in the UK. In short a listing , with contact names and numbers of some of the best in the coountry.

Bodgerarmor; makers of wonderful artifacts both large and small. Probably the finest (only?) puppet armourers in the country. See Gawain and the Green Knight for the magnificent helmets and crowns.

Gerry Burrows; known far and wide for the best demontrations in basket and rope-making, Gerry also makes marvelous wooden artifacts and toys.

BZents; specialises in high quality and innovative entertainment for children, families, corporate events, summer fayres, historical events - in fact for everyone!

Eventplan; provide top quality live historical events, re-enactments, interpretation and entertainments; event strategy and management; first class historical reconstructions for TV and film.

Griffin Historical; and stunt action specialists provide some of the best historical and live action shows around. They can organise and populate any type of event from mediaeval fair to corporate hospitality.

Hautbois; are a lively and talented duo that use music as a vehicle for informative, historical entertainment. Hautbois perform a Millennium of music - from the Normans to the 1940s.

Lionheart Replicas; the finest pewter replicas available, from pilgrim badges to belt buckles. Lionheart also provide period demonstrations of carving and casting.

Myddelton Companie; portay life in the 15th century (1477) as the straggling retinue, artisans and merchants of Sir John Myddelton, Field Marshal of 21st Co. of the Army of Charles the Bold. They include some of the finest demonstrators, interpretors and researchers in the country.

Plantagenet Shoes; produce the finest period shoes from the 10th to the 18th centuries. They also provide a fantastic children's hire scheme.

Phil the Leatherman; as the name implies makes very high quality leatherware, from bottles to purses. He has also made leather jacks for all sizes of customer, even the smallest, as can be seen, playing a prominent role, in both Sir Guy and this year's show The Brent Pelham Dragon

Soutares ond Clerces; Put on some of the best fairs, markets and events around.

The Tudor Group is an historical interpretation society concentrating on the later Tudor period (1560-1603 ).The Elizabethan era is one of change throughout virtually all aspects of life and The Tudor Group, through enthusiastic demonstrations and talks, attempt to illustrate some of the ordinary facets of life during this fascinating period.

Ray DaSilva Puppetbooks Ray has hundreds of books on puppetry for sale, is a terrific help and very friendly!

Puppets Online is run by Puppeteers UK and has a comprehensive listing of puppeteers in the UK.

Observations on the historical development of puppetry by Keith Rawlings is an excellent history of all types of puppetry, including bunraku and shadow puppets as well as marionettes and glove puppetry.

The British Puppet and Model Theatre Guild includes information on puppets and model theatres and is the home of the Journal The Puppet Master est. 1946
